Nonsuch House is situated in one of the most beautiful parts of the county in an area of outstanding natural beauty. There are plenty of activities to occupy your visit if you are minded to tear yourself away from the comfort of the terrace, having taken in the beautiful views and watched the activities on the river. But if you feel like a day doing nothing then there is nothing to stop you sitting in the conservatory or out on the terrace reading books, sketching, admiring the view and then slipping a glass of something refreshing as the sun goes down.

The list of things to do is never ending but just to tempt you we can suggest you take boat trips to Totnes, Dittisham, Stoke Gabriel, Torquay, Sharpham for wine and cheese, and Salcombe (some being tide and day dependent), you walk the South West Coast Path in either direction either to Brixham or to Slapton or walk up the river Dart as far as Totnes, taking a picnic lunch and stopping at that secret cove or exploring a sandy beach, go swimming (for the brave) and just taking in the magnificent views. You can hire a motor boat and explore the River Dart. You can slip over to Dartmouth on the ferry to explore and shop or walk out to the Castle. Or maybe even take a fishing trip out to the Skerries to catch Plaice or Pollock.
